Heading 2

Fervent Prayer church began in April of 1995 when Pastor James W. Jackson and a handful of family and friends opened its doors. Fervent Prayer Church had its first worship service in a small class room on the West side of Indianapolis, 2447 West Mount Street in room 214. FPC later expanded into the adjacent class room, 219 and remained at those locations for almost 3 years. Fervent Prayer Church sought the Lord and under the leadership of Pastor Jackson began believing God for land to build a church on.

FPC purchased nearly 10 acres of land on the Far East side of Indianapolis for 75k after completing a supernatural building fund raising campaign. FPC was given over 40 lots of real estate by a local businessman that later was turned into over $200,000.00 that was used to buy land and do renovations. FPC starting having Bible studies in the small farm house that was on what we all called “the land.” Soon thereafter FPC renovated the small detached garage on the land and moved its worship services into that space in 1999.

FPC began praying and believing God to build its first building that would seat 125 people. The building was purchased for approximately 12k and was constructed by Effectual Touch design/build a company owned and operated by FPC. FPC moved into its new worship facility in 2000 and let the other two buildings be used for its daycare and Christian school that began with two of Pastor Jackson’s children. The Fervent Care Childcare and Christian school currently serves more than 150 families each day.

FPC moved forward to start construction on its 4th building project and moved into its new multi use facility in 2004. FPC took another step of faith a few years later and started believing God for a daycare and Christian school facility. The new facility was completed just a few years ago along with the purchase of 9 additional acres of land adjacent to the existing land, to give FPC approximately 19 acres of land.

FPC is currently located in Indianapolis and is home to about 500 members. FPC continues to serve its community through numerous outreaches, a daily radio program on AM1310 The light that has aired for over 22 years, a weekly television program and a strong social media presence.
